Nerdvana: I Love You All by The Soronprfbs

Today’s Nerdvana is a odd little ditty from The Soronprfbs (don’t ask me what that is), the fictional band from the indie film Frank, led by Michael Fassbender, performing from inside a giant paper mache pinata head. The song is both strange, sarcastic and sincere all at once (I find myself singing it to myself quite a bit), and just savor the irony of Magneto from the X-Men prequel movies is crooning with a giant cartoon head on.   9. He’s living proof that even the world of cutesy plush toys has a dark side.
  10. He once complained about having nothing to complain about.
  11. He can stand being around Baby Hugs and Baby Tugs for longer than 2 minutes (Trust us, that’s an achievement!)
  12. That stylin’ rain cloud Belly Badge (that sounds better than “Tummy Symbol”)
  13. He’s cute, just don’t ever let him hear you say that.

Nerdvana: Paradise by Coldplay

This is another song that I’m currently groovin’ with. Interestingly, I discovered this one by accident. This song came already installed on my current mp3 player when I first bought it, and I just happened to hear it while I had it playing in while I was driving. I liked the song and began listening to it more often. I finally saw the video for it last week, and it’s weird. I don’t get the video, frankly, but the song is decent. It makes me remember those animated one-shot half hour specials produced by the Canadian animation studio Nelvana from the 1980s for some reason. Here’s “Paradise” by Coldplay. Enjoy.

2 Funny: Olsen Twin Adventures

Today’s 2 Funny is a classic (?) from Robot Chicken, “The Amazing Adventures of the Olsen Twins”. Given that this is The TWIN Factor, I’m surprised we haven’t shown this one already. It’s gloriously ridiculous. Call me kooky, but I’d kind of like to do a cartoon similar to this about a pair of twins. Plus, any skit that references the Wonder Twins is A-OK in my book. Enjoy.

-There’s a slight continuity error, though: originally, Mary-Kate is the one who transforms into a giant eagle a la Jayna, and Ashley transforms into the bucket of water a la Zan, but when they arrive in the city and change back, they’ve switched. Eh, it’s still more entertaining than New York Minute.
