Today, Ad Nausea looks at a somewhat curious commercial for Kellogg’s new Eggo Breakfast Sandwich.
OK, this commercial raises an obvious question, one that’s been the subject of a lot of controversy here on the interwebz. I’m just going to drop all pretenses and address it here right now:
If either or both of the parents did the grocery shopping, how did they not know that there was a box of Eggo frozen sandwiches in the freezer?
Inquiring minds want to know.
By the way, I am aware that the son in the commercial is Asian American, and you know what else? I don’t care. He’s obviously adopted, which isn’t a new thing. Families have been adopting children for decades now. It’s not worth worth getting your shorts in a bunch about. Anyone who is losing their sh*t over this commercial clearly has no life, which is why I chose to address the more pressing issue of the ad.
